DNS is the acronym of (Domain Name System), is a decentralized hierarchical nomenclature system that allows to control the configuration and the administration of the domain name space, is responsible for translating the complicated series of numbers that make up an IP address in words that the user can easily remember and to store information associated with domain names, uses Internet protocol (IP) for the connection in it. A DNS is a data search service.

In general, DNS is composed of databases distributed on servers around the world, this means that IP is associated with a name. These databases are intended to indicate the IP address that is associated with the domain name that owns the website.

The DNS is divided into three parts: the host (host or server), the domain, and the top-level domain (Top Level Domain -TLD).
